Just a few more days to go until the official first day of Summer! Here at the Local Art Rag we are finishing the preparations for our July issue which will be 'on the streets' just before the July 4th Holiday Weekend.
Our Big News is the start of the Local Art Rag Blog! Those of you on our e-mail list have had a heads-up already, but for visitors here who have not yet heard, we are trying to take the message of the Local Art Rag to a wider audience (as we always do) and create a place for a more interactive discussion of all things art and music.
Under the Guidance and Wisdom of Pat Rogers (regular art and music writer for the Southampton Press), we'll be posting topics and questions open to discussion, giving you all opportunities to find out where things are, who does what, argue about issues, or just find good places to get whatever you need. With your help we will grow an interactive community of artists and musicians, supporting each other and sharing ideas.
We also have a 'Spotlight' section where we will highlight particular artists and musicians giving you a taste of what they are up to - a short bio piece, some images and links to their art and music. Other aspects of the blog will develop as we go along, so don't hesitate to send us suggestions - we always try and incorporate useful comments into our work.
So please visit LocalArtRag.blogspot.com and have a look at what we are doing. Join up and follow the blog, post some answers or questions of your own, or just put up some comments and see what people have to say...
